SHIM's Early Childhood Program is located in the Prospect Park apartment area of Whitehall. The classes are designed to help three- to five-year olds develop English language and school readiness skills and to instill a love for learning. Together with the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council, we are collaborating on a family literacy program to benefit the refugee families in this neighborhood of need.
Homework Clubs are tutoring programs sponsored by SHIM to help children develop good study skills, assist with homework and develop relationships with positive adult and teen role models.
