Volunteer
South Hills Interfaith Ministries would not be the agency it is today without the direct contribution of more than 300 volunteers who give their time and talents to our many programs. At SHIM, we have volunteer opportunities to meet everyone's needs, abilities and interests. Whether you're considering volunteering once a year or once a week, we have something for you. To become a SHIM volunteer or for more information, please contact the Director of Youth and Volunteer Programs at 412-854-9120, ext 20 for more information.
Internships
Students participating in the SHIM internship program gain practical skills and valuable experience, and have the opportunity to use the skills acquired in their field of study, in a workplace setting. Interns provide unpaid work during the summer for SHIM on a project or assignment, and receive academic credit equivalent to one three-credit course. Our internship program provides a stimulating and challenging alternative to the conventional classroom method of instruction. To apply for this program contact the Director of Youth and Volunteer Programs at 412 854-9120 ext. 20.
